Apple-ly Ever After

About This Work

(DIGITAL DOWNLOAD ONLY) I wanted to capture the feeling of being small again, back when the backyard felt like an endless jungle and a single apple looked as big as the sun. In this memory, the air is thick with the hazy, soft-focus pastels of a warm summer afternoon like looking through a bubble wand. There I am, lying flat on my belly in the grass, watching a little green caterpillar friend inch its way past a giant, juicy red apple. It represents that innocent time when time moved slowly, a tiny bite out of a piece of fruit was a grand mystery, and a simple doodle could hold all the magic in the world. I signed it with a heart because it’s a little piece of my childhood self, kept safe forever.
